'NC has accepted defeat, its leaders frustrated' | Rana's men thrash BSP supporters | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today alleged that National Conference Sarpanch at the behest of the NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana thrashed the BSP supporters at Nagrota from where Rana is contesting the ongoing assembly polls. The BSP National General Secretary and Member Parliament Narender Kashyap, BSP state president Tulsi Dass Langeh and state general secretary and party's candidate from Nagrota constituency Rakesh Wazir while addressing a joint news conference here said: " The sarpanch Din Mohammad thrashed the BSP supporters on the directions of NC candidate Devender Singh Rana." The BSP leaders alleged that NC goons led by the accused Sarpanch intercepted a matador near the residence of Rakesh Wazir at Nagrota and asked the party supporters comprising, men women and children, who were on way to meet Wazir, to get down. "Soon after the BSP supporters disembarked from the bus they were beaten to pulp by the Sarpanch and his men," they alleged. They said that a police complaint has been lodged against Din Mohammad and other persons who were involved in the act. They identified other assailants as Panch Gudda, Allah Ditta, Sheeda, Pouna, Poota (Line Man PDD Department), Kaku and others.. They said that this reflects the frustration of the National Conference leaders who have accepted defeat and are indulging in such acts to intimidate people. The BSP leaders urged the authorities to take strict action against the accused and their mentor (Devender Singh Rana). |
