Dr Dhar concludes campaign in a novel way by donating blood | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: Dr Anil Kumar Dhar, an independent candidate from Jammu-West constituency, today concluded his campaign in a novel way by donating blood in blood bank of GMC Jammu and in an emotional tone stated to a thick gathering of supporters and some media persons that every drop of his blood would be used for betterment of society and that he would devote rest of his life to upliftment of underprivileged in particular and overall development of Jammu in general. He further stated that Jammu was decades behind western countries in civic amenities and that there was need for innovative thinking to catch up with the western countries which would require intellectuals in politics also. He further reiterated his ten point agenda and that he stood by every word that was mentioned in his agenda and if given chance by electorate of Jammu- west he would leave no stone unturned in fulfilling all the promises made in his agenda. Earlier in the day, Dr Anil conducted his door to door campaign in Krishna Nagar, Dogra Mohalla, Resham Ghar, Canal Road, Mohinder Nagar, Ashok Nagar and Bhagwati Nagar on the last of the campaign where he and his team of workers were warmly welcomed by people of these localities and everyone had the same tale to tell about inadequacy of civic amenities and same sense of distrust in current breed of politicians who had proven totally inadequate in mitigating the suffering of the masses and that there was urgent need for fresh faces with innovative minds in politics so that services are delivered to the needy in an efficient manner. He further appealed the constituency voters to extend their full support to him by casting their votes in his favour to end the discrimination meted with them so far and assured to fulfill the entire demands and issues of the constituency if elected to Jammu and Kashmir assembly. |
