Students pays homage to Peshawar Victims

JAMMU, Dec 19: The students and Teachers of Modern Secular Institute of Education, Laxmipuram, Chinore, Jammu expressed deep condolence on the massacre of students by militants in Peshawar city of Pakistan.
According to press release, during Morning Assembly, the students along with school teachers and school management observed two minutes silence and prayed to Almighty to give strength to the families of the victim students to bear this irreparable loss.
While addressing the students, Principal of the school termed the perpetrators of the grave some attack on a school as enemies of God, calling the act itself a 'heinous crime' against humanity. The terrorists who have committed this heinous crime are the enemies of humanity & God because the children are the images of God on the earth.
Brigadier Khuda Baksh Memorial High School (BKBMHS) Channi Himmat paid tributes to martyrs students, who killed by Tabibani terrorists in Army Public School Peshawar on December 16.
According to press release, the tribute was paid to 132 students of Army School Peshawar in Pakistan who were killed in a terror attack.
The speakers on the occasion also condemned the brutal act of Taliban. Large numbers of students including staff participated in the programme. Manager of the School Showkat Javed also strongly condemned the Peshawar incident.
Sahara Christian Youth Organization Jammu Friday evening organised a candle light march in memory of the 132 Army school students killed by Taliban in Peshawar Pakistan. The members of the Organization under the leadership of Amar Mooman and Salathial Burt holding candles, start march from Church at Dora Hall Christian Colony to old Rehari bridge and back to Church.
Speaking on the occasion Organization president, Salathial Burt while strongly condemning the killings of innocent school children expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and strongly condemned the barbaric act of Taliban responsible for massacre.
Amar Mooman also spoke on the occasion.
A two minutes silence was observed by the gathering in respect of the deceased students and pray was made for grant of eternal peace to their souls in heaven. The meeting also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed to God to grant courage to them to bear this irreparable loss.
Schools and some student organizations across the country joined in the show of solidarity following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal over Twitter to observe two minutes silence over the Taliban terror attack on an army-run school killing 132 children. In joist of that, students of Adarsh Vidhya High School Mahanpur paid their sincere condolence to the innocent students, brutally massacred by the militants in Army School Peshawar. Students paid rich tributes to the departed souls by observing two-minute silence.
They prayed to almighty God to grant peace to the departed souls and give courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. On the other hand, the activists of ABVP carried out candle march at Shaheedi Chowk in the leadership of ABVP State Secretary Rahul Dev Sharma. "We are against the Taliban attack in Peshawar where schoolchildren lost their lives.
We are very saddened because we are also students and we share their pain and grief," said Rahul Sharma.
Gandhi Global Family, Jammu and Kashmir on Fridayorganized a prayer in memory of students killed in the terrorist attack on Army school in Peshawar City in the premises of Lawrence Public School, Sidhra Jammu.
On the occasion, numbers of students from various schools participated and children and teachers appealed to the governments as well as civil societies of the world to come forward and work for Peace. Two minute silence was also observed in memory of those killed.
While, speaking on the occasion, president of GG family SP Varma said, "We must strengthen people to people contact worldwide and stand up against violence while waging a people's movement for peace. We should not wake up when such tragedies occur rather permanently we must treat the components of peace to make the world free of violence," he said and appealed to the ruling class wherever violence exists on this planet to realize the urgency of peace for the survival of mankind and take steps to identify the groups involved in violence and initiate with them the dialogue so that permanent peace is prevailed.
Students condemned terrorist attacks in any places and in any manner, as well as extended their deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families. Teachers of various schools, representatives of NGO's, prominent citizens and Parents in large number participated.
