Time will tell who hanged Guru: Soz | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 19: The state Congress chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today said that only time will tell who hanged the Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru. Soz was responding to the repeated allegations of the National Conference in the past that the Congress played vital role in hanging Guru. "This is a white lie. I can only tell you that facts will come to light one day through which people of Jammu and Kashmir would come to know who hanged Guru," Soz said. Over the formation of government after polls, he said, "Congress will be in determining position for the formation of the new government in Jammu and Kashmir. But we would be cautious in selecting partner and we will never undermine the secular credentials of our party." He claimed that BJP in Jammu and Kashmir can never form the government and that people of the state are well aware of the fact that the party in no way is going to benefit them on ground. Over the expectations of the party for the last phase of polls, Soz said, "Congress has done well in the last four phases and expects to achieve success in the last phase of the elections as well. We have got our due share and I can assure you that no government in the state is going to be formed without the support of Congress," Soz remarked. |
