Valley people isolate separatists? | Peshawar aftermath | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 19: The recent attack on an Army Public School in Peshawar by Taliban has generated a lot of resentment in Kashmir Valley and people have openly started isolating the separatists or the militants. According to sources there is a undercurrent against terrorism and separatists in Kashmir Valley since Peshawar episode. The Kashmiris have been totally shocked by the episode and they have given a serious thought to the growing terrorism across the globe and falling of youth in the trap of dreaded terrorist organizations. The civil society of Kashmir has given a serious thought to the with and decided to launch a campaign against terrorism as it is a curse for entire humanity. The civil society in Kashmir has also decided to open units at village and Mohalla levels to educate people against the ill effects of terrorism which is a curse for entire society. They said that terrorists are no body's friends and it has become evident from recent episode in Pakistan which was a breeding ground for terrorist organizations. Some of the civil society leaders in Kashmir said when terrorists could not be friends of Pakistan which has given them all logistic support over the years in organizing themselves can never be friends of Kashmiris and people of Valley should not allow their children to fall in the trap of any militant organizations as its consequences are very serious not only for them but for entire state. The civil society while reminding the people of the loss suffered during last 25 years of terrorist violence in the State and damage caused to the infrastructure asked them to isolate all separatist and terrorist groups once for all for the better future of their children, peace and prosperity of the State. Maintaining that there are many other ways and means of highlighting the grievances and problems the civil society in Kashmir has made it clear to the people that the gun was not any solution to any problem and the terrorists can never be friends of any one and they can use the gun against the same person any time who has given refuge to them as happened in Pakistan. Sources said some of the leaders in civil society have even gone to the extent that the people in Valley can highlight any problem as they are the citizens of a great democracy and can use other peaceful means in getting their grievances redressed but the gun was not a solution for the same. Sources said the Peshawar episode has shaken the Kashmiris irrespective of their political affiliation and people from all walks of life have realized that it was high time to wage a war against the terrorism and throw them out from the society. |
