Bovine smuggling bid, manhunt launched | | | Samba/Jammu, Dec 19: In a drive against the illegal trafficking of bovine animals, a Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal of Samba foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued five animals while hunt is launched to nab the absconding accused who managed to give slip to police. According to police spokesperson a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib SHO P/S Ghagwal under the direct supervision of Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP), Samba Anil Magotra and VP Singh, Dy SP HQ, Samba laid a naka on NHW Jatwal, but on seeing the Police Naka driver of the vehicle i.e. Tata Mobile without number fled from the spot leaving vehicle on the road."During search of vehicle the police found 05 bovine animals loaded in the vehicle being transported illegally without permission. "On this, vehicle has been seized and Case FIR No. 80/2014 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal, police said adding that further investigations are on. |
