Jammu, Dec 20 : High Court judge Dhiraj Singh Thakur has directed respondent to let the petitioner join as assistant programmer. Darshan Lal, who was selected as assistant programmer and subsequently directed to report to Deputy Director, Accounts and Treasuries, within 21 days along with certain certificates. Despite the government order, he was not permitted to join on the ground that he did not fulfill the requirement of advertisement notice. Faced with such a situation, he moved the high court. After hearing the two sides, Justice Thakur observed that the deputy director could not have prevented the petitioner from joining pursuant to the government order of his appointment especially in view of the fact that the order was still in force. He allowed the petition and directed the respondent to let the petitioner join immediately. He also directed that the petitioner shall be entitled to all the consequential benefits except monetary benefits. (JNF) |
