JAMMU, Dec 21: As an annual feature, the ex-students meet was organized at Sainik School Nagrota today in which a large number of alumni of the school turned up to relive the most thrilling period of seven years that they had spent in this premier residential school. Being one of the 25 schools of its kind, as a feeder institution to the National Defence Academy, Sainik School Nagrota has so far contributed over 400 officers to the Armed Forces. Many others are rendering illustrious services at the helm of various sectors including Civil services, Police, Medical, Legal and Corporate sectors. Amongst the luminaries present on the occasion were Dr. Surinder Singh, Director In-Charge of National Institute of Biological, Noida, Maj Gen JS Bedi, Additional Director General of Recruiting, Jagjit Kumar, IGP, Security, J&K, JP Singh, IGP Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K., Randhir Singh Billawaria, Sr. Manager, IT J&K Grameen Bank, Head Office, Narwal, Jammu . Following a warm welcome tea to the ex-students, the programme began with a variety entertainment show by the budding Nagrotians at the School Auditorium which included Welcome Song and Patriotic Song by the School Choir, Break dance, Instrumental Music by Cadet Kumar Saurav and Cadet Aryaman Kaushal and an exciting Bhangra. After the entertainment show, the Principal Colonel Kapil Dev Kaushal formally welcomed ex-nagrotians and gave a brief account of the rapid strides of progress taken by the school. |
