| Vishwa Bharati celebrates Republic Day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 24: 66th Republic Day was celebrated at Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School with traditional enthusiasm. The programme was attended by all the governing Board members which include J.L Koul Secretary College of Education and Public School, Dr. S.K.Koul Treasurer Jammu Units. Besides, the programme was attended by Prof. Sunita Kampassi Principal College of Education, entire teaching fraternity of college of Education and school. The day long proceedings started with the Welcome address by the Principal of school Annapurna Kaul.
In her address Prof. Annapurna Kaul besides explaining the significance of Republic Day, asserted that the need of the hour is to inculcate among young learners the values of discipline as also to follow the path of those who lived and died to free India from the clutches of Britishers and those who prepared its constitution that made India the greatest Democracy of the World.
Patriotic songs were presented by the students of the School as well as college of Education in a jam packed main auditorium of the School. Besides, Speeches and Dances were the eye catchers that enthralled the audience. Speeches were also delivered by some Pupil teachers from college of education.
Reeta Bambroo Incharge Sundaram House, encapsulated the facts of constitution in her detailed speech. J.L Kaul in his address admired the students and teachers who had worked so hard to make this occasion a Grand Success. He asserted that our educational Institution should be designed in such a way as would help the students to learn much of the Great Patriots of the World. He advised all those involved in imparting education to young blossoms, to work with true dedication and devotion.
Dr S.K. Kaul reflecting upon the proceedings of the Programme was all praise for students and those involved in this exercise. He asserted that Vishwa Bharati, has all along worked for National integration, despite diversity. It has all along inculcated in young minds the values of Unity and international brother-hood. A step in forward direction has all along been our punch line and we should maintain it under all circumstances. |
