Discrepancy amid Govt. and Private elementary schools
Sunaina Malik1/25/2015 11:45:50 PM
No doubt, that a teen with out schooling is like a, arbitrarily moving electron in an iron bar, with zero resultant. In today's scenario, schooling is as much imperative as breathing, because our world is running very swift over the swathe of competition and triumph. It is an issue of great contentment that, today every lay man is conscious about the reimbursement of literacy and very apprehensive about the proper edification of their siblings. Every parent try to enroll their children on school index, but the query arises that, Is only enrolling over school registers adequate toil? Whole society is divided on the basis of schooling of their off spring. Larger section of our children are going in Govt. established institutions and nearly ¼ of total number enjoined the privately patronized institutions. But when we unfold the results of primary and secondary classes, we absorb a sea of gulf between the results brought by the enrolled number of above two sections. Sword of criticism always hang over the heads of staff of Govt. institutions. But there are many slips between a cup and lip. As we all know that education is a two way process, but give me a permission to call it a four way process. When four agencies, child, teacher, parent and Govt. schemes will work equally, then a well literate and educated child can reach higher levels of his or her education.
Following are some very severe tribulations, have been facing by our teachers of Govt. school for a long time.
The first and foremost predicament is that, a Govt. teacher has to enroll a 4 year child with blank mind in first standard. As there is no provision of pre Nursery, Nursery, L.K.G, U.K.G classes in our government schools. On the other hand Nursery classes are most vital part of Private schools because it is this part of our study which decides the future heights of studies. These are those roots on which huge tree of our carrier grows. In a Private school, a child is allowed to be taught stair by stair. In the first year he or she is subjected to only alphabets then words and then sentences, after a period of 3 or 4 years of incessant hard effort and evaluation, when that child reaches in first standard, at that time he is quite competent to comprehend the book of his rank. But on the other hand, in a Govt. school, the ill-timed child has to complete the toil of 3 years in 1 year which is unfeasible. Thus right from the initial year he starts lagging behind. Every year gap between book and student deepens and at last, that tome become a encumber to learner and student starts moving away from school and books
The second curse on the fate of Govt. school students is that they are deprived from the support and care of their parents in their studies. As a child is child, he is supposed to indulge in bunks from studies, but it is always the accountability of their parents, to let them to join the chase of competition and triumph by helping them in their studies. On the other hand the parents of private school students are very solemn about the studies of their children. They are more responsive about the school curriculum of their child then the child him self. if their child get even a single mark less then from the total, even this become a issue of worry for them. In short they do not let a single stone unturned, in making their child, a competitive in the pursuit of accomplishment. (Teacher ) The teacher, who is the sole agency in making teaching learning, an effective process, must also be prompt, regular, enthusiastic, hard working, proficient, diversified and innovative in his approach towards his or her students. His approach must also individual. He must adopt experimental and play way methods of teaching . He must also be argumentative. He should believe in over all persona development of his students. If our teacher lacks any of the above mentions qualities , he would be unsuccessful, to produce, a lot capable to appear, in today's level of contest. (Government schemes ) As we all know, that for a apt growth and progress of a tree, we have to nourish its roots but it is a matter of great worry that some of our Govt. schemes destined to embellish the leaves and flowers. It is quite evident that, this in no case can help a plant in its over all boom and maturity. Thus in short, if our Govt. actually crave to convey a upheaval and over all progress of our underprivileged students, then it has to bring following changes
(1)On war footings Govt. has to circulate an order for the installment of Nursery classes in our Govt. schools also because this will water the roots of big tree of edification. Later on the tree will widen by its own self
(2)Evaluation system-A Govt. teacher of primary classes is devoid of powers to fail any student up to 8th class under . The national program for education of girls at elementary level (NPEGEU). This insulate a child from the fear of failure. If our administration, truly want to amplify the mental competence of Govt. school student then, it has to bring radical changes in the system of appraisal
(3) Our Govt. should allocate some of the superfluous staff, who will guarantee the parental participation in teaching learning course, by organizing meetings with them along with sarpanches and other prominent members of the vicinity concerned.
Until and unless these four agencies, involved in teaching learning progression, would not toil together on war footing, we would keep on measly pushing the students from one echelon to another with their minds utterly vacant.
