PNB to organise KCC distribution functions 1/28/2015 10:46:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 28: Punjab National Bank to organize a series of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) distribution functions at all its rural Branches in a mission mode and in order to achieve the desired target PNB held another Kissan Credit Card (KCC) distribution function here today. According to press release, a distribution function was held at Branch Office Shamachak under the guidance of ML Mir DGM Circle Head J&K Circle and distributed KCCs worth Rs.1.32 cr. The farmers from Branch Office Akhnoor also participated in the above function. The farmers had a very interactive session with SS Chib District Coordinator Jammu who apprised them about the benefits of our new Kissan credit scheme which has the inbuilt annual enhancement facility by 10% for a period of five years. Chib also discussed at length various schemes relating to the agriculture sector as well as the education loan scheme for their children desiring to pursue higher studies. He also explained to the farmers the benefit of our Krishak Sathi Scheme of swapping the dues to be paid to money lenders so that they are not subjected to the exploitation by the money lenders any more. The farmers were elated to have the benefit of the scheme which freed them from the unending burden of huge interest charged by the moneylenders. He also encouraged them to form farmer's clubs/Self Help Groups and avail the credit linkage from Punjab National Bank. He welcomed and thanked the women beneficiaries for coming forward to avail the facility of Kalyani cards designed for the empowerment of the rural women beneficiaries.
