kishtwar, Jan 28: Several political leaders and social activists today condoled the untimely demise of 32 year old noted Islamic scholar from Kishtwar, Mufti Shahnawaz Zarger who breathed his last at Appolo Hospital Delhi on Mondayand was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Semna colony Kishtwar. Thousands of people from different parts of the state hailing from different walks of life participated in the funeral prayers at Chowghan ground Kishtwar which was led by renowned religious scholar Mulana Mufti Faiz ul Wahid of Bhatandi Madrasa. In a condolence message issued by MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, MLA Kishtwar Sunil Sharma and former MoS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo termed demise of Mufti Shahnawaz as a great loss to the society that has created a void gap which is difficult to fill. All the mourners prayed to Almighty Allah to give peace to the departed soul and a place in heaven. They also prayed to give strength and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss. ASP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, SP Ajaiz Zarger, Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Nazir Ahmed Ganie, SHO Kishtwar Sameer Geelani also participated in the funeral prayers while SP Kishtwar Youghal Manhas and MLA Kishtwar Sunil Sharma also remain present at the venue at the time of funeral prayers.
