srinagar, Jan 29: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), which launched maiden membership drive in Kashmir on Wednesday with a target of three lakh members in the valley and 11 lakh in the state, Thursday announced 12 member monitoring committee in this regard. A BJP leader said 12-member monitoring committee will be responsible to monitor the drive. "The Party State General secretary organization Ashok Koul who is on his visit to Srinagar with regard to the government formation nominated, a monitoring committee comprising of 12 members and also nominate the candidates who contested the election recently appointed as in charge of their respective constituencies," he told He said that the Koul urged the committee to gain the momentum of drive within the prescribed schedule of time to complete the target successfully. According to the State BJP's spokesperson, the monitoring committee members who will monitor the drive are Altaf Thakur, Dr Rafi Ahmad, Haleema Ji, Ali Mohammad Mir, D K Nehru, Ghulam Nabi Dar, Shakel ul Rehman, Arif Raja, Molvi Tari, Nisar Ahmad Khan, Amarjeet Singh and Aga Mohsin. "The members have to dial a toll free-number 18002662020 for online registration. The member would instantly get approval through a text message," Koul had said
