Teachers Forum holds protest, highlights issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum held protest demonstration and expressed resentment against the malfunctioning of State Education department on Thursday. Teachers were assembled outside the press club under the leadership of state general secretary of the forum Ganesh Khajuria. Addressing the gathering, Ganesh Khajuria said the demands were raised by the forum including that the masters of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts who were repatriated from Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Poonch and Rajouri, after serving for a long period of 3 to 5 years had reported to CEO's of their respective parent districts. Instead of adjusting I posting the said masters suitably, the concerned CEO's deployed them for utilization of their services in different schools. "The Masters resident of other districts transferred and adjusted against posts of Jammu District by Higher authorities at the behest of corrupt politicians and derailed the functioning of whole Education Department, "he stated and adding nearly 1100 Teachers were promoted as Masters by Director School Education Jammu in February 2014 and out of which nearly 165 promotees were adjusted as Masters by adopting pick and choose policy keeping aside all the norms for the reasons best known to the authorities and other masters are still waiting for their adjustment as Masters which is totally injustice and anti-employees act. Among those who were presented in the protest included Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Yog, Raj Singh, Raj Singh, Darshan Sharma, Surat Singh Toofani, Gopal Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Ajit Verma, Kuldeep Raj, Bhupesh Choudhary, Rampaul Sharma, Shanker Singh, Devinder Singh and others.
