Dr.Pathania said that Directorate is serious about all these illegal activities and will take proper and stringent action on any activity which can adversely affect the health of people. It is pertinent to mention here that IDA in its memorandum to Dental Council of India and State Government had demanded the implementation of the rules of the J&K State Dental Council that provide that the office of the council shall move with the durbar to Jammu and Srinagar. However, the dentist fraternity in Jammu province was suffering as the office was permanently stationed at Srinagar as a result of which the dentists have to travel all the way to Srinagar for petty matters. Dr. Sarang Khajuria, MDS Oral Medicine at Institute of Dental Sciences, Jammu, said that the association is trying its best to safeguard the rights of dentists of Jammu province. |
