'Initiate CBI probe in alleged corruption during Omar led regime: DPP to Guv | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: Taking strong notice of alleged rampant corruption by the previous NC-Congress government, the Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) today urged the Governor of State N N Vohra to register FIR before Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) against the former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his council of Ministers from National Conference (NC) - Congress alliance for alleged rampant corruption pushing the state towards all-round bankruptcy. In a press statement issued today President DPP, Uday Chand demanded from the Governor N N Vohra to get a FIR registered with CBI against the former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his council of Ministers from alliance of National Conference (NC) and Congress for alleged rampant corruption pushing towards bankruptcy. He further stated said that according to some reports that the state of Jammu and Kashmir has no money to pay the salaries of its employees nor there is money for other developmental works which reportedly have come to stand still. Duggar Pradesh Party Leader further stated the period of the previous Government was of full of corruption; there was no control of Chief Minister on the mal functioning of his ministers and the ministers spent most of the funds and time in their constituencies and violated their constitutional duties to attend whole of the state as their constituency. "This open loot of the alliance government make Jammu and Kashmir on top of corruption status as compared to other states. Uday Chand said it is also the constitutional obligation for Governor to register a case of criminal conspiracy against the previous regime to make the state defunct as presently he is himself running the affairs of the state and knows the facts better. Meanwhile DPP president while welcoming the noted Ghandian activist Anna Hazare for re-initiating struggle against corruption in the country extended moral support to the proposed nationwide movement against corruption and to coordinate, besides mustering support from other likeminded organizations. Questioning centre's stand on this issue, DPP president said if Prime minister Mr Modi is honest then why he is silent and hesitant on Jan Lok Pal Bill. |
