Jammu, Feb 1: Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) today organized Heart Diseases Awareness Camp here at Kusht Ashram. According to press release, around 100 Patients including their families were attended during the camp. The camp was organized under supervision of Dr. Sushil K. Sharma, Head Department of Cardiology, Govt. Medical College, Jammu along with a team of doctors which consisted of Dr. Nasir, Dr. Mohi Kalsotra, Dr. D. Kapoor and Paramedics including Kashmiri Lal and Rajesh Sharma with volunteer including Gourav Sharma, Lokesh, G.L. Sharma and Ramesh Sharma. During the camp the patients were given benefit of diagnostic tests like ECG, Biochemistry and free medicines were also distributed. Meanwhile, Dr. Sharma stressed upon the preventive aspect of cardiac diseases. In this regard people in general are advised to adapt a healthy life style which includes regular walk and physical activities and shun smoking, obesity is another factor for which people should be aware because it is a precursor for large number of disease itself. |
