JKTF women wing expresses resentment against malfunctioning of Edu Deptt. | | | Early Times Reports Jammu, Feb1: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) women wing on Sunday expressed resentment against the malfunctioning of education department and raised issues. Addressing the media persons, District President Meera Sharma uttered resentment against the recent transfer of lecturers master and teachers being made hurriedly on pick and choose basis in the mid academic sessions by the outgoing secretary. "The master of Jammu, Samba and Kathua district who were repatriated from Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Poonch and Rajouri after serving for a long period of three to five years had reported to CEO's of their respective parent districts," she stated and adding instead of adjusting and posting the said masters suitably, the concerned CEO's deployed them for utilization of their services in different schools. She further said that the master resident of the others districts transferred and adjusted against posts of Jammu district by higher authorities at the behest of corrupt politicians and derailed the functioning of the whole education department. Nearly 1100 teachers were promoted as masters by director school education Jammu on Feb 2014 and out of which nearly 165 promotes were adjusted as master by adopting pick and choose policy keeping aside all the norms for the reason best known to the authorities and other master are still waiting for their adjustment as master which is totally injustice and anti employees act. "The master promoted as incharge lecturers in various streams since long time should be adjuste in HSS at an earlist so that students can be benefited and vacancies of masters will also arise after these adjustment of promoted lectures," she claimed. She also stated the steps taken by the education department regarding cancellation of deployment or attachment of teaching community is detrimental for the future of student in peak of academic session as it will hamper the studies in the government schools. The forum urged the Governor and chief secretary of the state to issue direction to cancel the said transfer order made hurriedly in mid of academic sessions. |
