Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 1 : Jammu & Kashmir Police and other security agencies have made fool proof security arrangements for Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif who is in Kashmir nowadays to shoot for her upcoming movie 'Fitoor'. Sources told Early Times that security has been beefed up for the shooting of the film following the slender rise in militancy that left 13 people including 10 militants and three security personnel killed during January 2015. Katrina who landed here on Wednesday last amid tight security appeared at the scenic Nishat garden on Friday last and started her first shoot for Abhishek Kapoor's 'Fitoor' that lasted till evening. She had arrived at 8 AM and right away rushed to the hotel without meeting people who had gathered at Srinagar International Airport to meet her. She also avoided meeting people during her first day of shooting at Nishat garden. According to sources police has strict orders to ensure fool proof security of Bollywood actress to avoid any improbability. When contacted, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Amit Kumar said that there are no serious reasons to provide security to the Bollywood actress as it is always ensured that adequate security is provided to luminaries who come to Kashmir. However, Srinagar based Defense Spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel N N Joshi admitted rise in militancy saying "this is slight on higher side as already mentioned by the General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps Lt Gen Subrata Saha." Pertinently, two Hizbul Mujahideen millitants and an army officer and a policeman were killed in a gunfight in South Kashmir's Pulwama district earlier last week. This was the fifth gun battle between millitants and security forces that left 13 people including 10 militants killed in January this year. General Officer Commanding of Army's 15 Corps, Lt Gen Subrata Saha in his recent statement had said the 'fresh trend' of Kashmiri youth joining militant ranks is a serious concern and "all agencies must join hands to ensure that the youth are engaged proactively and positively." |
