JMC seizes polythene, imposes fine 2/26/2015 9:16:41 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 26 : Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today seized polythene and imposed fine on defaulter. According to press release, continuing the drive against the use of polythene carry bags, the Veterinary Officer of JMC along with the field staff under undertook the drive in the areas of Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Trikuta Ngar, Nai Basti, Satwari, Vikram Chowk, Jewal, Bakshi Nagar Shakti Nagar & Janipur Jammu. During the inspection, the team seized about 15 KGs of Polythene Carry Bags and fine to the tune or Rs. 4000 from defaulters has been realized on spot that were using the Polythene Carry Bags to sell their commodities. Besides this, during the drive, the team also made the people aware of the ban on the use of Polythene Cary Bags which are made of Non-Biodegradable material and requested them to use the bags made of Biodegradable material to carry their commodities.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
