Mufti along with 24 ministers to take oath on Sunday
Kavinder, Lal Singh in race for Speaker

Jammu, Feb 28: Seasoned politician of the country and patron of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed along with veteran BJP leader Dr Nirmal Singh going to take oath as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the State respectively.
Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is going to take oath as 12th Chief Minister of the State.
According to official handout issued here this evening, the Governor, N.N. Vohra, today invited Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Patron, J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to form the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Governor's invitation follows the BJP-PDP combine staking the claim for formation of government in the State under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Separately, Sayeed has also addressed the Governor to inform him that the Peoples Democratic Party and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) have decided to form a coalition government with a joint strength of 53 members in the 89 member House and that the coalition government would thus enjoy an absolute majority in the Legislative Assembly, which would enable it to provide a stable government for the State.
In his letter Sayeed also informed the Governor that he has been elected as the leader of the PDP Legislative Party on 27th February, 2015 and the BJP has offered its support for PDP-BJP Government to be headed by him as the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, in a separate letter Jugal Kishore Sharma, State President of BJP has also informed the Governor that the BJP Legislative Party has unanimously decided to extend support to the PDP in forming a government in Jammu and Kashmir and that the BJP will also join the Government together with its 25 MLAs.
The Oath Ceremony is scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 1st March, 2015 at 11.00 A.M at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
Credible sources in the BJP said that Sajjad Gani Lone, ex-separatist leader would also be made minister from the quota allotted to BJP as party has decided to accommodate him for his stand.
Credible sources said party high command is thinking over appointing either former minister Choudhary Lal Singh or Kavinder Gupta as speaker of the Assembly. One of them who will not appointment as Speaker would be nominated as Cabinet Minister.
Probable Cabinet Ministers Dr Nirmal Singh, Haseeb Drabu, Bali Ram Bhagat, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Sajjad Gani Lone, Altaf Bukhari, Nayeem Akhter, Chander Parkash Ganga, Abdul Haq Khan, Naeem Akthar and Sukhnandan Choudhary.
Ministers of State: Sunil Kumar Sharma, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Tsering Dhorjay, Imran Ansari, Choudhary Zulfikar, Abdul Gani Kohli, Shah Mohammad Tantray, Basharat Bukhari and Priya Sethi.
