JK Premier League: JCC trounces Aircel XI by 5 wickets

JAMMU, Feb. 28: JCC today registered a convincing victory in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Premier League Cricket Tournament and defeated its rival Aircel XI by 5 wickets.
According to organizers, Deepak Dogra (Baba) was declared as the 'Man of the Match' for his excellent bowling and claiming three wickets. "For winning side Gurupratap also played vital role and took 2 wickets each and Rohit Sharma, Vishanjeet Sinhj, Jatinder and Paras took 1 wicket each, the press statement issued today added. It said Anil Kumar,Rajinder Singh, Rahul Bhal held the responsibilities of match Umpires. Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club organized this event in which many local teams are participating.
The statement also added the second session was played Sunderbani and Shinning Cricket Club while Sunderbani will taken on Rainawari and in another match will be played between BHS Reality and Evershine.
Jammu Tawi XI advances in Jammu City T20 Cup

JAMMU, Feb 28: Jammu Tawi XI registered an emphatic five wickets win against Christian Sports Organisation to stay alive in the Jammu City Twenty20 Cricket Cup, organized by Jammu Police at Parade Ground, here today.
Batting first, Christian Sports set a target of 131 runs in 20 overs with Puneet (50) and Anchal (33) being top scorers. Arayan and Prince took three wickets each, while Parkash and Rahul shared apiece each from Jammu Tawi XI.
In reply, Jammu Tawi achieved the target in 15 overs for the loss of five wickets. Rahul was the main scorer with 62 runs while Amarjeet scored 30 thereby helped th e the side attain the goal, rather easily.
Ambroose emerged as most successful bowler, who took three wickets while Nitu Khokher and Anchal took one wicket each. Rahul named man of the match for his match winning innings of 62 runs. Today's match officiated by the technical penal comprising Sanju, Sahil and Vinod.
FIXTURE: Jammu Tawi XI shall take on JKP XI at 9 am; Khalsa Club shall face KC Sports Club at 11.30 am; Jammu Police has been pitted against Jammu XI Star at 3 pm tomorrow.
