JAMMU, Mar 1: The JKP XI registered a fine win against Jammu Tawi Club to enter the semifinals of the ongoing Jammu City Twenty20 Cricket Cup at Parade ground, here today. Earlier, batting first, JKP scored 151 runs for the loss of three wickets. Shashi played brilliant innings of 59-ball 62 runs while Rajesh Gill contributed 34 runs to the total. Jatin added valuable 17 runs. From Jammu Tawi Club, Rahul, Surinder and Kamal shared one wicket each. In reply, Jammu Tawi Club could not achieve the total and bowled out for 77 runs. Varinder, Kamal and Amarjeet were the main scorers with 24, 18 and 17 runs respectively. For JKP XI, Shashi and Sidharth took two wickets each, while Rajesh Gill, Vishwajeet and Vishal shared apiece each. Shashi Kumar of JKP XI was declared man of the match. The match was officiated by Vinod , Sandeep and Nitu Khokher. However, other two scheduled matches for today could not take place due to rains. These matches will be rescheduled on a later date, informed coordinator of the competition, Rajesh Gill. |
