Progress under PAHAL reviewed | | | Kathua, Mar 2: A meeting of LPG distributors of District Kathua was called by AD, CAPD Kathua to monitor the PAHAL scheme under which direct transfer of LPG subsidies in the consumer's accounts is being done. All the distributors were directed to ensure 100% linkage of consumer details with Adhar, so that the benefit of the scheme shall be availed by the consumers. AD CAPD was apprised by the LPG distributors that in spite of having knowledge of this scheme, consumers are hesitating to link their accounts and other detail. Responding to the projected issues, AD CAPD called upon the distributors to educate the consumers to remove any doubt about the scheme and also called for 100% linkage before 31st March'2015. On the occasion AD CAPD also apprised the distributors about the scheme launched by Government of India to cover the BPL people living in rural and backward areas so that pressure on firewood/ kerosene. He said under the scheme the cost of LPG cylinder and regulator for new connection shall be borne by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC's) and the cost of refill has to be borne by consumer concerned. He said the contents of the scheme with papers were already sent to the concerned SDMs for further dissemination and operation of the scheme. |
