Jammu, Mar 3: Dr NS Jamwal won the opening match of the Jammu Open Squash Championship, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Squash Rackets Association at squash court of the Jammu Club, MA Stadium, here today.
In the opening league tie of the veteran category, Dr Jamwal defeated Col RS Jasrotia 2-1 (11-09, 10-12, 12-10) to consolidate his position in group-B. The competition in senior men's category was in progress when the last reports filed.
In the first round of pre-quarterfinals, four out of 12 participants have been given bye. The participants in the senior category included Rajesh Gupta, Joginder, Imran, Sukhdeep, Sahil, Shivang Puri, Shray, Aven, Vishal, Sanchet, Rahil and Ajay.
Meanwhile, the participants in veteran category have been divided into two groups for the league round, followed by the final between toppers. Group-A: Ajay, Krishan and Rajesh. Group-B: Dr NS Jamwal, Col.RS Jasrotia and Imran. |
