JAMMU, Mar 3: Indian Institute of Integrated Medicines (IIIM) clinched the men's team championship trophy beating Account General (AG) Office 2-0 in the final of Badminton competition of the ongoing annual sports meet of the Central Government Employees Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at IIIM School, here today.
While Rajesh defeated Vibhor 2-0 (21-18, 21-11), Anil trounced Abhishek in close straight sets of 21-18, 21-19.
Meanwhile, the IIIM shuttlers won another title of men's open double event when they outplayed Central Water Commission (CWC). The Results: Anil and Rajesh defeated Raj Kumar and Naveen 21-06, 21-14.
Earlier, in the men's doubles semifinals, Anil and Rajesh (IIIM) bt Vicky and Rohit (IIIM) 21-14, 21-15 while Raj Kumar and Naveen of CWC outplayed Ankush and VK Pandita of the same organisation 2-0 (21-17, 21-15).
Meanwhile, as per the organising committee, the table tennis competition shall start at the same venue tomorrow. The organising committee included Ashok Chadha, BS Bhan, Mahesh Sharma and Sanjeev Kumar. |
