Court directs SSP VOJ to probe allegations against former VC & Ors 3/26/2015 11:13:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 26 (JNF): Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu Sanjay Dhar today directed Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vigilance Organization Jammu to verify the allegations leveled by the complainant Dr Nagendra Sharma Ex-V.C. SKUAST-J and others in a complaint alleging forging of the approval by the beneficiary Sanjay Sharma the then PRO to VC SKUAST-J After hearing Advocate Ashok Parihar appearing for the complainant the Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu observed that after having gone through the contents of the complaint and the documents attached thereto. From the perusal of the contents of the complaint, it appears that the complainant has leveled serious allegations regarding forgery and destruction of record against the respondents, therefore, deserve to be verified and investigated and directed that SSP, Vigilance Organization, Jammu shall after verification of the allegations made in the complaint, proceed in accordance with law. It is further alleged that at the time of his departure, perhaps a day or two before Sanjay Sharma again came to the complainant with the same file with the request to approve the proposal for his promotion to the selection grade of pay scale. The complainant wrote in the file, "Approved provided it is covered within the rules." perhaps the complainant wrote this remark on 4th of September, 2008 and finally he left Jammu on 6th of September, 2008. It is further alleged in the complaint that after complainant Dr Banwari Lal Mishra took over as new VC of SKUAST-J and in the meantime he came to know that Sanjay Sharma PRO who on the basis of the forged approval was promoted initially to the Selection Grade and later promoted as Deputy Registrar (Secrecy) in SKUAST-J in connivance with Dr Banwari Lal Mishra Ex-V.C. SKUAST-J, Tarsem Raj Assistant Registrar SKUAST-J, Raman Sharma Assistant Comptroller SKUAST-J, B.B. Gupta Registrar SKUAST-J and Dr. Dileep Kachroo Prof. & Head Div. of Agronomy & Chief Scientist SKUAST-J and promoted as Deputy Registrar (Secrecy) vide University Order No.56(EST) of 2011 dtd 30-08-2011 so as to place him in selection grade pay scale to make him eligible for the post of Deputy Registrar (Secrecy) by converting one post of Associate Professor (Rajouri RAS Station) for which VC was not competent and empowered under the University Act and the Statues.
