Jammu, Mar 26: A shopkeeper was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Ward- 4, RS in Pura area on Thursday. A case has been registered in this regard.
Police sources said that a minor girl hailing from W- 4 of R S Pura was alone at her home and a shopkeeper identified as Rajinder Kumar of W-6 in RS Pura forcefully barged into her home and committed the crime. After commiting crime the accused managed to flee from the spot, police sources said quoting family members of victim.
Sources said, "When family of the victim reached home, the victim narrated the whole episode to her family members who later lodged the complaint with the police."
Following the complaint from victim's family, a case under FIR no. 50/2015 was registered against the accused while medical examination of the victim got conducted. |
