Jammu, Mar 27 : The series of 'Jammu Lok Mela' organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today here at Ramnagar, Udhampur on second and concluding day of 4th Jammu Lok Mela. Dhirendra Sharma SDM, Ramnagar, , Kavita Pandoh, Tehsildar, Ved Prakash Sharma, Naib Tehsildar, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages were present in the presidium. While speaking on the occasion, Dhirender Sharma said that in this 2 Day Jammu Lok Mela the folk parties of the region performed Geetru, Masade, Jarhiyaan, Haran, Bhaak and other folk forms in an impressive way. While appreciating the Jammu Lok Mela he said that such melas are not only the sources of entertainment but the folk parties through their performances also enlightened about the rich old regional tradidtions. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Yash Pal Nirmal, research assistant, Dictioary and vote of thanks was presented by Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy. The folk Parties performed include: Hans Raj and Party, Badri Nath and Party, Tara Chand and Party, Shankar Das and Party, Sheela Devi and Party, Des Raj and party, Hans Raj and Party (Manni Kishan Pur), Suram Chand and Party. The performance of Des Raj and Party's Geetru ' Ram Nagre di Sair Kra Te Mere kanne Chal Sajna', Haran highlighting social values like female foeticide, swach Bharat, illitation, Population, women protection were well received by the jam packed venue. Among other were present include: Sh Rakesh Gupta, Tehsil Information Officer, Ramnagar, Om Jindreyari, Tirath Singh, Chairman, Judicial Panchayat, Kalaunta, Ramnagar, Jagdish Chander, Thakur Das Samthayal, Kuldip Singh Journalist, Duni Chand Tripathi, Anil Sharma. |
