JAMMU, Mar 27: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Choudhary today flagged off the state junior boys' team for the upcoming National Hockey Championship to be held at Mysore in Karnataka from April Ist to April 12. Minister interacted with the boys and officials of the team besides office bearers of the Hockey Jammu and Kashmir. He was kind enough to announce a hockey stick each for the entire team. Since Minister was asked for assistance in uplifting the game of hockey in J&K by the Association vice president and Inspector General of J&K Police, Mukesh Singh, the visiting guest assured of all possible help to the game and players. General secretary of the Association, Romal Singh was also present. Earlier, the team was selected by the penal of selectors, Mukesh Singh (chairman), Sham Lal and GS Bakshi (both members). The team is accompanied by State Sports Council hockey coach, Jagjeet Singh. The Team: Ajay Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Naveed Ahmad, Vishal Verma, Navjot Singh, Ishtiaq Hussain, Mohd Ishfaq, Sawal Ahmed, Sohail Azeem, Manmeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Manik Sharma, Harsh Vaid, Arushdeep Singh, Pankaj Kumar and Ramandeep Singh.
