Nearly 200 militants active in state: Army | | | Srinagar, Mar 27 : Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, Army's top officer in Kashmir, reported that over 200 militants were active in the region and more are trying to infiltrate into the valley from across the Line of Control. Lt Gen. Saha said that the militants have sneaked into the valley from across the Line of Control. He said that the movement across the LoC starts taking place as the snow starts melting. "This time too, the movement has started and they are trying to infiltrate into the valley," he added. The heavy snow in the region has caused immense damage to the LoC fence in the upper areas of the valley. Saha added that despite the heavy snow and damage, the alert troops are geared up to tackle any situation.
