Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Mar 27: In their crusade against mass copying in the district, police and civil officers today carried out a joint checking in examination centres and registered 14 cases of unfair means. While divulging details, a senior police officer said that a joint team of police and administration today carried out raids in various 10th class examination centers and registered 14 cases of unfair means including three cases at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar, three at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, four each at Islamia Fareedia Higher Secondary School and New Era Public School. Cases against the students, who were found copying, were also registered. The material, which the students had brought with them for copying, was also seized by the joint team, he added. Meanwhile, the activists of mass copying mafia today pelted stones on cops after they arrived at an examination centre at Chhatroo. The situation was, however, diffused with the intervention of some elderly persons in the area, the police officer said. Sources said police also videographed some examination centres where mass copying was in progress. They were likely to initiate action against the culprits who were seen promoting mass copying in the district, the sources added, saying that more teams would be constituted for remaining papers to curb the menace of mass copying in the district. |
