Jammu, Mar 28: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) demanded the declaration of public holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh. Addressing the media person, Rajinder Singh Manhas demanded from the state government to declare the holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari singh was a great ruler and an educational reformer and he is an example of unity, integrity and inspiration for the unity of state. He also urged the Rajput MLA's, MLC's and MP's to raise the issue in their respective legislature mid give the community its due share which is being ignored since decades. He further added that, if the state government does not declare the birth anniversary of maharaja as a public holiday, the Sabha will come to the roads and will launch a state wide agitation in support of their demand for the recognition of the community. Among others who were present on the occasion included Surinder Singh, Ranjit Singh, Parveen Singh, Rajveer Singh, Sonu Langeh, Jatinder Singh, Rajesh Singh, Nitish Singh, Manni and others. |
