Jammu, Mar 29 : The government of Jammu and Kashmir in last five years referred 41,059 vacancies to Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board and Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and out these 11,334 posts are still lying vacant as both the prime recruiting agencies of the state fail to fill these posts. In reply to A.Q No. 90 of MLA Mian Altaf Ahmed, the in charge Minister GAD through Additional Secretary GAD in reply to a question on department-wise the total number of vacancies referred to the SSRB and PSC and filled up by these agencies during the last five years stated that out of 7782 Gazetted post were referred to JKPSC, only 5101 post were fill up both the recruiting agency. As per the details, JKPSC during the year 2013 and 2014 shows its worst performance in terms of recruitment of unemployed youths and out 3530 posts referred to JKPSC, only 246 post were fill up while in the year 2014, out of 2261 posts referred, only 852 posts were fill up. Similarly JKSSB fill up 24584 posts out of 33277 posts of Non Gazetted. JKSSB in the year 2014 recruited 7908 unemployed youths against the 1381 posts referred by the government to JKSSB, the number which is over 500% then the posts reffered by the government to JKSSB for recruitment. Education department is the worst affected as 4646 posts are lying vacant in the department followed by Agricultural Department with 1651 posts, Higher Education Department with 199 posts, R&B with 35 posts forest 833 posts, Finance 397 posts, Health and Medical Education with 234 posts, Industries and Commerce with 132, RDD 768 posts, Migrant Drive 291 posts, GAD 110 posts, election 142 and Defense Labor and Procurement 57 posts contribute majority of share in the vacancy list. |
