Abolish caste based reservation, AVM to Govt | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 31: Aarakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) appealed to the Government to abolish caste based reservation and provide financial support to the poor, needy and deserving of all caste. According to press release, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Udhay Chand, in which the problems being faced by the unreserved category were discussed in detail. While addressing the meeting Ram Pal Seth, President of the Manch appealed to the Government to abolish caste based reservation and provide financial support to the poor, needy and deserving of all caste. Caste-based reservation has been causing ill-will, separation between caste and caste. LK Sharma in his brief speech expressed deep concern over existing reservation provision. He said that it has been a national cause which needs to be abolished. "Reservation was a temporary arrangement for ten years. He said that it is unfortunate that all political parties of India used provision of reservation as a vote-catching device and used it for their vested interest", he said. |
