Jammu, Mar 31: Special Judge Anticorruption (CBI Cases) J&K Jammu Suresh Sharma today observed that corruption Act is made out against Maj. Gen. V K Sharma, the then Maj Gen. ASC, Udhampur s/o Bishuwa Mitter, R/O P-4, Tauras Mandir Marg, Delhi Cantt. Special Judge Anticorruption (CBI Cases) J&K Jammu Suresh Sharma observed that in the instant case, the complainant Inder Singh allegedly, gave money to the accused as demanded by him for the reinstatement of his Firm which had earlier been removed. As per complainant filed the complaint before Lt General K T Parnaik, which reached him on 11th June 2012 who later constituted a team of Lt General B S Pama, Chief of Staff, Head Quarter, Northern Command and Deputy provost Marshal, Col A.S.Sehgal. This team also took accused Lt General V K Sharma with them to his office for the search. A brown coloured envelope containing Rs 5000/- was recovered, upon the search of the said drawer. Besides this an envelope containing Rs 1430, two cancelled tickets and another pouch containing stacks of credit/ debit cards were also recovered from the said drawer which were handed over to Lt Gen Pama. Accused was also asked to open his brief case and a white envelope containing currency notes of thirty five thousand (35,000) was recovered there from. Thus the Court observed that Prima facie commission of offence u/s 161 RPC & 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) of J&K Prevention of Corruption Act -2006 is made out against the accused. (JNF) |
