J&K Govt distributing ration on 2001 census basis

jammu, Mar 31: Minister for Consumer Affair and Public Distribution Zulfkar Ali informed the House today that Whole Ration quota to all the families under TPDS has been issued to the rationees of village Sadhota, Badhota and Galale of Block Panchari in District Udhampur upto December 2014.
While replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Jugal Kishore, the Minister said that the village Sadhota, Badhota and Galale of Block Panchari in district Udhampur comprises a total 695 rationed families (381 APL, 218 BPL, 96 AAY), and 57 No. of Relief Families. He said relief of 1stinstalment has been issued at Government sale depot Sadhota and Badhota.
Zulfkar said that in the month of January 2015 the food grains of these villages could not reach to the sale points, adding that the matter was resolved and accordingly 165 quintal rice, 175 quintal Atta, 45 quintal sugar have been distributed upto 29-3-2015.
Meanwhile, in reply to another calling attention motion, Minister of State for Transport, Abdul Ganai Kohli while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Dr. Bashir Shah (Veeri) informed the Legislative Council today that, due to rain/snowfall severe damage has been caused to the existing road formation of NHW-1A at different places coupled with triggering of landslides at some vulnerable stretches.
Minister said that in-spite of poor condition of NHW-1A at several stretches including Kheri, Magarkote, Gangro, Digdol, Himgni, Shaitani Nallah, Panthal and Sherbibi etc the movement of vehicular traffic is being regulated with great difficulty. He said that District Administration of Ramban has indentified points for accommodation of stranded passengers with 200 persons capacity each at Yatri Niwas Ramban, Community Hall Maitra, Gundalkote, Tethari, Nowgam, wherein the basic material like food, blankets, heating facility, drinking water while medicine were provided to the stranded passengers and drivers.
Similarly, at Udhampur various points were identified for accommodation and langers were setup with the assistance of local police and civil administration, he added, the Minister said that passengers were accommodated at Sharda Mata Temple, Kheri, Thrad, Bali Nallah, Samroli and Dharmalhal areas where in the basic facilities were provided to the stranded passengers and drivers.
While replying to another Calling Attention Notice by Dr. Shahnaz Ganai, the Ministersaid that passenger fare revision is being taken up periodically as and when necessitated primarily due to increase/decrease in fuel prices.
The Minister said that the Motor Vehicles Department has taken due cognizance of the issue and completed dossier of analysis and recommendation prepared after due consultation with all the stakeholders have been received from the Transport Commissioner is under consideration.
