Jammu, Apr 1: A programme under PM's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was held at Qasim Nagar, organized by Bethel Charitable Trust working under the chairmanship of Pr. John Roques Bhatti. In the following program 30 garbage drums were fixed in the lanes of New Bahu Fort Colony (Qasim Nagar, Sheikh Nagar, Gosawami Basti) by Christian youth of Jammu and Norway having their leaders Simon from India and Mr. Peter from Norway. Kapil Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation was the Chief Guest at the function and also cut the ribbon to start the Abhiyan along with him the guest of honor Rev. Shoukat Peter, President Joint Church Fellowship, Special invited from Norway David, the Fradhan's of the area and Cameras David (Babloo), President All India Masih Seva Dal also accompanied in this good cause towards the society. Since the Jammu City is known as a famous tourist city in India hence, it is really important to keep it clean so, the youth and the Bethel Charitable Trust not only committed to put the drums but also to make this event a movement that will lead to cleanliness of the city. The Joint Commissioner Kapil Sharma also appreciated the movement and assured all the possible help and cooperation from Jammu Municipal Corporation. |
