Legislators seek early Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC) elections

JAMMU, Apr 1: National Conference (NC) MLC Dharamvir Singh Oberoi today urged the state government to conduct of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC) elections in the state as soon as possible.
He raised this demand during the zero hours in the Legislative Council here today. Vibodh Gupta demanded inter district recruitment and pleaded for early release of salary of ReTs. Qaiser Jamsheed Lone demanded early release of salary of Sakshar Bharat Mission teachers.
Jugal Kishore demanded early renovation of old hospital Reasi for making it functional to provide health care facilities to the people of the area at their doorsteps. He also urged for inquiry into misappropriation of relief funds in Reasi.
Bashir Ahmed Veeri pleaded for bringing transparency in transfer policy of the employees. He also demanded transfer of over-staying employees. Naresh Gupta demanded air-dropping of essential commodities for landslide prone areas of Bhaleesa, Charala Kalotran, Gundu, Barfi, Chillia, Chanta, Sandra, Gudaka, Badrawah, Goda and other affected areas of Doda district.
He also urged for air-lifting of Doda-Kishtwar stranded passengers.
Javed Ahmad highlighted deteriorated condition of roads in his constituency and demanded immediate repairs of these roads including Sangri road, besides he also demanded for upgradation and alternate road connectivity. Sajjad Kichloo asked for directions to be issued to local administration for assessment of losses due to inclement weather in affected areas of the State. Dr. Shehnaz Ganai urged upon the Government to make alternate arrangement for people of low-lying areas of Khaneter and Choomber- Kanali in Poonch district to some safer place in view of ongoing rains and floods. She also demanded compensation and free ration to the affected. Ghulam Nabi Monga pleaded for early filling up post of Public Prosecutor in district Session Court, Baramulla.
Sham Lal Bhagat demanded compensation for farmers whose crops were damaged due to landslides/rains in Sudh Mahadev in Chenani.
He also asked for immediate repair of Irrigation khuls. Showkat Ganai demanded for replacement of damaged transformers in Wachhi constituency. Ali Mohammad Dar demanded for regularization of casual labourers.
Master Noor Hussain urged for upgradation of road connectivity and drinking water facility in Gujjar Bakerwal habitations in Samba.
Yashpal Sharma pleaded for expediting work on Sub-University Campus at Poonch and demanded relief to the farmers, whose crops were damaged due to incessant rains in Poonch. Charanjeet Singh urged for checking overloading in trucks and passenger vehicles plying on national highway. Surinder Choudhary raised the issue of closing of Border fencing gate by the Army and pleaded for taking up the issue with Army, so that specific timing is fixed for allowing farmers to carry out agricultural activities. Anayat Ali demanded upgradation of hospitals and hostels in Drass.
