HC directs DGP to issue circular 'Ask police officials appearing before court to wear uniform' 4/18/2015 11:07:58 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 18: The state High Court has directed Director General of Police to issue a circular requiring police officer or official, appearing before the court in respect of any case, to wear proper uniform. The direction was issued by single bench of the court comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey while hearing a case in which a police official from crime branch was not wearing uniform. In this regard, the court asked government advocate Shuja-ul-Haq to apprise the DGP about the issuance of a circular in general that henceforth whenever any police officer/official shall have to appear before the Court m respect of any case shall be in proper uniform The bench took taking a lenient view in respect of the casual approach of the police official present in the case but asked him to remain cautious in future.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
