Police seal Pahalgam for Bajrangi Bhaijan Unprecedented security irks tourists 4/19/2015 10:49:50 PM Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Pahalgam, Apr 19: Many scenic spots in Pahalgam were declared out of bounds for tourists Sunday to facilitate hassle free shooting of Bollywood film, Bajrangi Bhaijan starring Salman Khan. Reports said that police on Sunday morning barred tourists from visiting Mamal area of Pahalgam where Salman Khan was shooting the climax of the aforementioned film. They said that police and CRPF blocked the road leading to Mamal, Pahalgam. The police and para-military troops laid siege to the area which houses some of the best hotels of the resort. Irked by unprecedented security arrangements for Khan, tourists argued with the police. However, they were denied entry into Mamal "Why you aren't allowing us to visit this area? I have spent Rs. 2.5lacs and arrived in Kashmir. Who is this Salman? We have limited time," a lady tourist visibly angry was seen arguing a CRPF Jawan at Mamal road. A group of tourists told Early Times that they were barred from entering into the hotels in Mamal Pahalgam. "This type of bejhaviour can spoil the tourist season. A superstar can no doubt help in promoting tourism of Kashmir but a common tourist of India is real ambassador and can help more than a superstar," they added. Excited fans of the actor who arrived in Pahalgam early in the morning from several areas of Kashmir valley were also chased away from the shooting site by the police. "This time again we lost a precious day as police didn't allow us to get a glimpse of Salman Khan," said Arif who was with his friends in Pahlagam. Dabang Kahn arrived in Pahalgam yesterday evening for shooting last schedule of his film 'Bajrangi Bhaijan' with actress Kareena Kapoor, who is expected to join the crew next week. The film is a love story of a Muslim boy and a Brahman girl. It also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in an important role. According to a web portal 'Bollywood Life' Salman is in Kashmir to shoot the climax of the film, the part where he reunites with the girl.
