CPPWU demands opening of Degree College at Paddar | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 20: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) today demanded from government to open Degree college here at Paddar. According to press release, during the meeting union president Bhandari urged upon the Union Minister of State in PMO Jetinder Singh to fulfill his commitment made with the people of Paddar during election regarding the granting of Government Degree College at Paddar. Bhandari said that every year about 600 students passes their HS part-II from Government HSS Atholi Paddar and due to the non availability of degree college in the area most of the students give up their further education due to the poverty as most of the people of Paddar are bent upon the laboring work. He also said and added that those who have sought their admission in Government Degree College Kishtwar are putting up in a rented accommodation where they are charged Rs 1500 to Rs.2000 from each student monthly which every student cannot afford and consequently most of the students have to give up their further studies. Bashir Khan, Mohd Amin Khatri, Tariq Patri, Anil Sharma, Hussain Gannue, Javed Malipath, Sameer Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Gannie, Akhter Hussain, Asgar Hussain and Sunil Sharma were also present on the occasion. |
