LWWS organizes play 'Gareeb ki Shaadi' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: Lalded Women Welfare Society Staged nukkad play namely "Gareeb ki Shaadi" at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on 23rd April in line to its Saturday series. The play was conceived and written by Rampaul and directed by Naveen Pal. The story starts with engagement of a boy who is serving in local showroom and belongs to poor family. The girl is from rich familyserving in reputed company. The parents of boy had backward thinking and expecting big dowry items in marriage while as their son dislike such things but never opposed the parents openly. After passing some period of time, the boy had to perform the marriage at a fixed date. His temptation was scaling high as he had a very less resources of generating money to perform the marriage. He wanted to show to his in-laws to make it as a special ceremony & he went to all his relatives to arrange money but failed and was told that he will not be supported for such show off and suggested to adopt some other means for marriage. This situation put him under stress to think and to adopt some other methods for smooth conducting of marriage. An idea stuck to him and he went to his proposed in-laws house straight way and put up a plan before them to perform joint ceremony. He joined hands with in-laws and arrange a single day function under fifty- fifty expenses share and performed marriage according to plan to show others to follow the path in the society, where people are spending lakhs of rupees for only purpose of keeping their nose high and unnecessarily people are going under debt for no reasons. In this way he also control wastage of food which otherwise can be consumed by the poor people. The roles were staged by Rampaul & Coordinator to LWWS, Naveen Pal, Sonu, Barkha, Santosh Basotra etc. The audience on the spot appreciated the acting and the theme of the Play. |
