Dr BR Ambedkar's anniversary celebrated

Nowshera, Apr 27: Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar Welfare Society and All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations celebrated 124th birth anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar at Higher Secondary School (Boys), Nowshera in Ravinder Raina MLA Nowshera was chief guest.
According to press release, beautiful culture programme, gatka and weight lifting programme displayed by the youth.
Ravinder Raina MLA Nowshera started function by paying floral tribute to father of Indian constitution Dr. B.R Ambedkar. On this day he recalled their contribution for introducing special clause for women and down trodden communities in the Indian Constitution.
Applauding society for organising such pious occasion he said that he will also render his services for community within assembly and
outside. He further said that he would not left any stone unturned to work for the Nowshera Constituency and people of SC/ST/OBC
communities.
Speaking on the occasion S.P Langeh President of Society said that recent recruitment policy disastrous for SC/ST/OBC communities as it mar their reservation rights. He called on the Govt. for ensuring reservation in the new recruitment policy. He requested the community members be united for welfare of the society and assured for fighting the cause of the community in future too.
Mahatma Inder Dass terming new recruitment policy as anti SC/ST youth and requested the Govt. to ensure reservation in this policy otherwise state wide protest would be lunch by the community members. He also called upon the government give equal share of students of SC/ST communities in post graduate medical courses in all streams instead of left out seats. If same has not been meet for admission in PG medical courses they along with student come on the streets. Other who spoke on the occasion were Adv. Dafli Kumar, Sarvan Kumar, Ram Lal, Joginder Singh, Shamsher Syal and Sukesh Prabha.
