Jammu, May 3: Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), a project of International Volunteer Foundation (IVF), J&K supported by Ramakrishna Mission was launched here today. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu inaugurated VSC in a simple and impressive function held at Seminar Hall, Ramakrishna Mission, Udhaywala. Speaking on the occasion, Sahu, who was Chief Guest, motivated the young students to follow the footprints of Swami Vivekananda and contribute their part in the nation building process. The program started with and introduction of VSC by Kiran Kumar Sharma, social worker and Chairman, IVF. A Nukkad Natak was also presented by the Legendary Theatre Artist Vijay Malla and his young dynamic team from Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) on National Integration, Save The Girl Child, Moral values, etc. Suresh Sharma, Secretary, District Red Cross Jammu was the guest of honour of the event who encouraged the young people to work for the betterment of society. While addressing the gathering, Swami Nirantarananda called upon the youth to read Swami Vivekananda and build character, develop essential values like love, cooperation, empathy, understanding, sympathy, which brings inner peace, happiness and success. |
