Jammu, May 3: An urgent meeting of Teachers Guild Jammu & Kashmir (TGJK) was held at its headquarters in Jammu in which the members of the state executive council, zonal councils and different cells of Teachers Guild participated. The meeting was called upon by its State General Secretary Vijay Kumar Sharma in order to discuss the various burning issues of school education department pertaining to the teachers community in particular and students community in general. The meeting was chaired by its State President Nasir Ahmed Qureshi besides Mohan Singh Choudhary, State Vice- President of Teachers Guild, Charanji Lal, Convener Retired Teachers Cell, Advocate Mohammad Farooq Faraz Qurashi, Convener RTI and Legal Cell of Teachers Guild were also present in the presidium. In the meeting, the detailed and serious deliberations were held regarding various issues vis-à-vis non-filling of vacant posts of Headmasters, Zonal Education Officers and Principals, release of pending liability on account of non MT for the pay of February, removal of pay anomaly of master grade, release of pending salaries of teachers fraternity under SSA, RMSA and New Pension Scheme, reorganization of educational zones, rationalization of surplus teaching staff, full maternity leave in favour of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers, transfers of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers, sanction of dislocation allowance to teachers serving in rural areas. |
