Heal Kashmir starts relief operation in Nepal

Srinagar, May 3: After setting an example in rescue and relief operations during floods in the Valley, Heal Kashmir is lending a helping hand to the people in the earthquake hit Nepal.
'Heal Kashmir' run by the students pursuing higher education in and outside Kashmir have started relief operations in Nepal after its team members in South Korea collected donations to the tune of $3000. The group ran a rigorous online campaign on Facebook and Twitter seeking donations for the earthquake victims. "The response on the social networking websites is massive. The donations are increasing with every passing day," said Pranveer Singh Rathore, who handles Heal Kashmir, Korea Chapter. The group plans to provide essential commodities and medicines to the people in the quake hit country.
"Our aim is to help the needy. We feel disheartened that our team couldn't reach Nepal to help people in rescue operations," says Zayd Qureshi Co- Founder Heal kashmir.
