Jammu, May 3: People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that People's Democratic Party (PDP)-Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government in J&K State was working on all possibilities of ensuring desired number of tourists be it rich, cultural or pilgrimage related ones, arriving in Jammu and Kashmir State for which chief minister Mufti Mohamamd Sayeed was putting in his best foot forward to win over tour operators and other stake holders located in other states. Mufti Sayeed, he said also intends to end Red-Tapism in the state and bring in complete transparency in every sector for giving people an accountable administration. It was towards this end that a team of bureaucrats were also sent to other states to study their Panchayati Raj System so that powers are decentralised and people's involvement in development of their villages encouraged. He urged people to understand programmes and policies of coalition government which are pro-people and aimed at strengthening state's economy. When Mufti Mohammad Sayeed says that there was a need to change the perception about J&K, he intends to send a message that peace and progress stays on top priority of government and unlike past it is now developing to be the most favoured destination of everyone. |
