JAMMU, May 2: Only one-way traffic from Jammu to Srinagar will ply for three days starting today on the national highway, connecting the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country. A traffic police official said today that said the decision was taken to allow vehicles, carrying Jammu resident Darbar Move employees, ply smoothly on the highway. No vehicle from Srinagar to Jammu will be allowed during these days, he said, adding that even security forces have been advised not to travel on the highway during the period. The darbar move offices, including that of the Chief minister, his cabinet colleagues and top bureaucrats were closed at winter capital Jammu on April 24. The offices were scheduled to open on May 4 in Srinagar, the summer capital. However, on account of holiday on Buddh Purnima the offices will now open on May 5. |
