Accused couple on 5 days police remand, spills beans
Sex racket operative in Muthi, Sidhra, Domana; eight women engaged for brothel service

Jammu, May 5: The accused couple, involved in kidnapping and killing of 23 year old paramedical trainee girl, was today sent to police police remand for five days for questioning by the court, however, during questioning by Gandhi Nagar police they spilled beans. Informed sources said that, they told police that they had hired eight women including married one to run flesh trade. The deal was managed through phone by the accused Rajni who is the kingpin of the sex racket. The racket was operative in Muthi, Domana, Bujalta, Sidhra and other adjoining areas of Jammu city. The victim girl namely Shivani Jaral came in contact with them while she was undergoing training in Jammu. Their relation was so cordial that accused used to visit to the residence of the deceased in Chenani and even attended marriage function of the relative of the deceased girl. The mother of the girl was also well versed with the past record of the accused couple and confessed the same before police after her daughter was got missing. Later, based on the apprehension as indicated by the deceased's mother police lifted the accused couple, searched their call details which too gave green signals to police for in-depth investigation and finally worked out the missing mystery. Meanwhile, a senior police officer, resenting on the increasing truancy among the students and degrading of moral values he said that Channi Himmat police, based on the complaints paid surprise visit at the Dadu Nanu Park situated at the arm strength of the transport minister and found boys and girls in objectionable scene. The teenagers later set free after serving warning, he maintained.
The Shivani murder case came to limelight when On March 19, a woman named Vishno Devi, resident of Udhampur, approached Police Station Gandhi Nagar and lodged a missing complaint stating that her 23-year-old daughter Shivani Jaral was missing since March 12 from her rented accommodation in Sanjay Nagar here.
The victim's mother informed the police that one Sunil Kumar and his wife Rajni Devi, residents of Chinore area, were involved in the kidnapping and illegal confinement of Shivani."
After thorough and in-depth questioning, they deposed that they had killed the girl, chopped her body into pieces and dumped the parts in a septic tank of their rented accommodation at Chinore.The
police party immediately rushed to the spot and in the presence of a team from Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and a magistrate, the woman's body parts were recovered.
